StageRing turns a phone into a theatrical prop that a show operator controls remotely. It is built for live theater and film sets: remote-triggered sounds, vibration, screen and flashlight effects, and realistic fake incoming calls and text conversations, all over your local show network. No cloud, no accounts, fully offline.

Open it on the operator’s laptop and log in with the PIN.The phone also advertises itself over Bonjour/mDNS, so QLab’s network patch browser will list it by device name. Cues can be triggered from the web interface or via OSC (UDP or TCP) from QLab, ETC Eos, or any OSC-capable console.
Does StageRing make real calls or send real texts? No. All calls, messages, and contacts are simulated inside the app. StageRing never sends real communications.
Why does the app ask for camera access? The fake camera app in the prop home screen shows a real viewfinder and saves prop photos. Photos stay inside the app.
Why does the app ask for local network access? Show operators trigger sounds and effects on the device through the app’s web interface and OSC, which run on your local network.
Does the app need the internet? No. Everything works on a local network with no internet connection.
